Study on Watermarking Relational Databases

A new research direction in information security is the use of digital watermarking to protect the content of database systems. The majority of the work has been focused on picture, video, and audio up to this point. Database watermarking has become a research topic as a result of the increasing use of relational database systems. This raises the legal question of copyright rights for database systems. Researchers [R. Agarwal & Jerry Kiernan, ZHU Qin, Brijesh B. Mehta, A. Al-Haj, and Ali Hamadou] suggested four relational database watermarking techniques, which we reviewed in this paper. Since the widespread use of relational databases over the Internet, security has been a major concern. Digital watermarking for relational databases has emerged as a potential solution for copyright enforcement, tamper detection, traitor tracing, and data integrity.
