Online Learning for Higher Education Continuity (during COVID-19 Pandemic) the Challenges, Advantages, Disadvantages, and How to Overcome: Recent Advancement

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the higher education sector around the world, with many universities and colleges shutting down completely. This position presents a slew of issues that have the potential to exacerbate disparities in cultures that are now compelled to go online. Almost all colleges have moved away from face-to-face study and toward remote or online learning. The worldwide higher education community has faced significant challenges. This chapter focused on the issues that the higher education sector experienced in many nations around the world during a COVID-19 pandemic, and how remote learning and related technology, such as videoconferencing, could help. The continuation of this vital industry during the new normal era was aided by platforms and other online ramifications. The challenges, benefits, and drawbacks of using these technologies by instructors and students, as well as ways to overcome these drawbacks, will be discussed.
