Investigating the Impact of Strategic Intelligence on Firm Performance and the Mediator Role of Strategic Flexibility

Strategic flexibility is a philosophy that allows firms to deal effectively with an uncertain and volatile future while maintaining a secure market position.

In this scenario, businesses who employ this strategy remain nimble. The main goal of this chapter is to look into the impact of strategic intelligence and its dimensions (foresight, visioning, and motivation) on firm performance in the biotechnology industry, as well as the role of strategic flexibility and its dimensions (production flexibility, marketing flexibility, and competitive flexibility) in mediating such an impact. The statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) programme and AMOS software were used to analyse and test the hypotheses. The researchers discovered that strategic intelligence has significant positive impacts on firm performance, positive impacts on strategic flexibility, and positive impacts on firm performance in the presence of strategic flexibility as a mediator variable after conducting the analysis to test hypotheses.
