Study on Greek Pupils’ Awareness about the Contribution of Renewable Energy in Sustainable Development

Environmental challenges have now reached global proportions, posing a threat to both human existence and the planet’s survival. The current degree of enthusiasm for discovering dependable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions is astounding. Broadening the development and use of renewable energies looks to be a primary goal in this scenario. The purpose of this article is to look at students’ perspectives on environmental issues and renewable energy sources. They’re seen as a good place to start when it comes to tackling the world’s environmental concerns. Understanding pupils’ knowledge and concepts about the environment and environmental problems is viewed as a vital action since changing human behaviour is regarded as a capable and required condition for resolving our planet’s major environmental problems. Students have a positive attitude toward the environment and are concerned about environmental issues, according to the study results. Their environmental knowledge, on the other hand, is limited, and school is not the primary source of environmental education for pupils.
