Determination of Operation Performance of Transport Logistics between 2010-2020: A Case of Hochiminh City, Vietnam

The purpose of this study is to assess the productivity of transportation logistics, which includes road, rail, marine, inland water, and air transportation in Hochiminh City, Vietnam (HCM). The goal is to measure the influence of labour productivity and capital productivity on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of HCM transport logistics. Cobb-Douglas production function (CobbDouglas) and Multivariate regression are used (MR). The major conclusions are that a 1% increase in both labour and capital is accompanied by a more than 1% rise in products, and the entire transportation logistics system is profitable. The influence of HCM transport logistics’ products labour productivity and passenger capital productivity on GDP. The labour productivity of passengers and the capital productivity of commodities have little effect on the GDP of HCM transport logistics.
