
Netflix introduces new games based on popular television shows- learn more
Netflix just paid $72 million for Finland-based Next Games, the creator of the enormously successful Stranger Things and Walking Dead games. The streaming behemoth is looking to expand its gaming content for its subscribers.
Netflix has announced that they will be adding a new collection of games to their platform. ‘The Queens Gambit,’ ‘Too Hot To Handle,’ ‘Shadow and Bone,’ and ‘Money Heist’ are among the popular TV shows that have partnered with the new gaming service.
Netflix currently has 22 games available, with plans to expand to 50 titles by the end of the year.
The business showed early glimpses at upcoming games at the ‘Geeked Week’ event this week, ranging from games-inspired programmes like The Cuphead Show! and Sonic Prime to a long list of new mobile titles.
Netflix issued the following statement: “By the end of 2022, it will have doubled our present collection to around 50 titles. With games like La Casa de Papel and The Queen’s Gambit Chess, you can immerse yourself in the worlds of your favourite Netflix programmes and films.”
The role-playing video game ‘Dragon Age: Absolution’ is being converted into an animated series for Netflix.
Shadow and Bone: Destinies is a brand new single-player mobile game based on the critically acclaimed franchise.
La Casa De Papel’ is a single-player action-adventure game based on the hit television series Money Heist’, in which players breach safes, pick locks, and assist in the robbery of a casino in Monaco, all in the name of helping an old friend of the Professor.
The Queen’s Gambit Chess is known as “the ultimate chess game.”
According to Netflix, the game allows you to take lessons, play puzzles and matches, and compete against online opponents or characters from the award-winning limited series.
