The Role of Phenytoin for Treatment of Enterocutan Fistula in Wistar Rat

Introduction: Enterocutanean fistula (ECF) is a difficult abdominal question; although impulsive closure occurs 90% of moment of truth, it takes approximately 5 weeks. Phenytoin was guide faster pancreatic and enterocutaneous fistula formation. To purify the mechanism of the curative effect of phenytoin on ECF, animal research will be reported. Methods: The width of the ECF, the number of fibroblasts, angiogenesis, the number (percentage) of collagen, the tickness of granulation tissue, and the number of lymphocytes were calculated in a randomized controlled trial equating the ECF of Wistar rats treated accompanying a combination of depressed-dose phenytoin and source of nourishment C to phenytoin (oral and topical) or source of nourishment C alone to a fake pill. Results: The diameter of the ECF was considerably (p< 0.05) reduced subsequently high-quantity phenytoin treatment and a combination of depressed-dose phenytoin and source of nourishment C. High-dose phenytoin or a merger of low-shot phenytoin and Vit C increased the number of fibroblasts, allotment or number of colagen, granulation tissue thickness, and angiogenesis while depreciating the number of lymphocytes (p 0.05).Conclusion: High-dose phenytoin or depressed-dose phenytoin linked with source of nourishment C accelerates ECF plug by increasing fibrosis, collagen, angiogenesis, and granulation tissue while dropping off lymphocytes .
