Posted on March 6, 2021 by Editor JournalGazett

Web services were introduced by Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) as distributed computing modules that could be deployed and invoked independently by other services or software to execute composite services that represented an end-to-end business process. The web service selection and composition problem is an important problem in SOA, and it entails choosing the right web service mix to build the best service composition that meets the consumers’ Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements. In this chapter, we will discuss various approaches to solving the problem of business process execution engine web service selection and service composition in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Using dynamic techniques, the chapter presents various methods for improving web service selection and composition. The main aim is to meet the service requirements, which are expressed as SLAs, as well as to improve service selection and composition by increasing availability and decreasing response time for service compositions.
