Mathematical Modeling of Blood Flow through Arterial Bifurcation

Posted on September 25, 2020 by Editor JournalGazett

The blood vascular system consists of blood vessels that carry blood in the body, such as arteries , arterioles, capillaries and veins. The difference in pressure between the ends of the vessels provides the essential force necessary for blood flow. We have used a model in this study that is suitable for use with applications for blood flow simulation. We research the effect on the velocity profile, the pressure of the incompressible, Newtonian fluid, of the decomposition of plaques and or tumour cells. Two separate cases are considered; bifurcation and non-bifurcation vessels, and all the findings are shown using Commercial COMSOL Multiphysics 5.2 software.
