The study was conducted on fifty farmers comprising 33 marginal and 17 small farmers in five villages in Ranchi, Jharkhand’s Kanke block. The study showed that the level of adoption of hybrid rice among the sample farmers was almost 98 percent. Farmers in both classes, however were strongly inclined to adopt hybrid rice production in their fields.
