Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate the validity and predictability of a new software calculator for quantifying astigmatism induced by surgery. Techniques and methods: Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007, a new astigmatic calculator was developed , based on the Pythagorean principle and trigonometric functions.
