A close loop circular pipe heat exchanger was used to compare the heat transfer coefficients of Acacia Mangium (wood) and Kenaf bast (non-wood) pulp fibre suspensions. The magnitude of the heat transfer coefficient was shown to be strongly impacted by parameters such as fibre type, pulp concentration, features, and fibre pulping method during the test investigation.
